Kubuntu Bug Reporting

Asked by ursus262

I use Kubuntu (Jaunty) and have found a bug. When I tried to report it here, it rejected it because the package I was using that caused the crash is not actually in Ubuntu - only Kubuntu.

How do I report this?

Many thanks

I think you should be able to file kubuntu bugs here, if the package is in the ubuntu archives. You can also file KDE bugs here: http://bugs.kde.org/

What is the package you are filing against?

It's actually Kubuntu, I think. I don't think KDE is the issue. It's a scanning package called XSane which is bundlied in Kubuntu Jaunty. The launchpad page here won't accept it as Xsane isn't recognised.

xsane project is part of launchpad: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xsane

To file a bug, go here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xsane/+filebug

Maybe you just had a problem with the "package search" tool here on launchpad, that's a bit buggy sometimes.
