I have installed 21.04 on AMD 5950x. Whenever I download a steam game the system crash and reboot with no error message

Asked by odror

I have up to date system with ryzen 5950x and nvidia rtx 3080.

Within a few seconds after starting to download a seam game my system crash and reboot immediately. No crash file or error messages generated. Is there a way to debug it.

Currently the kernel is:
5.10.0-14-generic
and the nvidia driver is 460.39

I suggest you report a bug. Hirsute is not ready and not even remotely stable and is not for casual users.

If you want to report bugs to get Hirsute ready for release in April then by all means use it but you can expect bugs and feature holes along the way.

If you want an OS that works and is for casual users then I suggest you wipe the installation off and do a clean install of Focal (Ubuntu 20.04). Focal is rock solid and supported until April 2025 whereas Hirsute is only supported until January 2022

TL;DR - Hirsute is prerelease. It's not even in the beta stages yet. What did you expect?

Can you help with this problem?
