Deleted printer immediately reappears in the printers list

Asked by Jacques

Hello.

I am running on Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS.

In Parameters, I go to Printers.

In this list, there is an auto-discovered HP_ENVY... printer, listed with the status "Ready".

Since I do not want to print on this printer (as it is installed too far in my house...), I select the option to delete the printer.

At the top of the screen, I get a notification confirming that the printer was deleted.

But few seconds after, I get a new notification telling me that the printer was added again, and then it reappears in my printers list, still with the status "Ready".

How can I get rid of a printer, without itconstantly reappearing in my list of installed printers?

Thank you !

JL

Do you power the printer off, then remove it?

Can you help with this problem?
