Touch pad not working

I just installed Ubuntu MATE ( Release 20.04.2 LTS ) on my new Lenovo Model 81WE The track pad is not responding to any action. I followed some instructions and on a terminal I entered ( cat /proc/bus/input/devices ) and didn't see any trackpad device listed. Then I ran ( cat /proc/bus/input/devices > ~/devices ) Nothing returned.

What should I do next?

PS Trying to check/report on a bug for the first time as a new used is CRAZY!
