Blackberry-Sync with Barry under Jaunty

I have been using Barry under Intrepid to synchronize my contacts and calendar.

Since Jaunty, this is not working any more and I get this error message:

btool cannot pull databases from device, receives timeout instead -- Bad packet size. Packet: 26. DataSize(): 26. Required size: 44.

This seems to be related to Bug #329540 and there seems to be a patch for it: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/barry/+bug/329540

Wait for the patch to be added in an update if you have no programming experience.

Thanks for the answer - I'm not that good at programming, so I'll wait.

Just one more question: I already installed the barry-packages from the ubuntu sources - does that mean any patch will be included in the normal ubuntu-updades...?

Yes they will be included in updates.

Fortunately there are Ubuntu debs available on http://sourceforge.net/projects/barry/files/ -- I installed these, and Barry worked for me on Jaunty.
