Webcam is found and starts but freezes after about a minute

Running Elgato Camlink4k on USB 3.0 (changed around also). Trying with several Cams, works about a minute in Zoom and OBS. After a minute or so it freezes. In Zoom switch video function off an on Cam works again then the same after a minute or so. First few starts of zoom also after webcam freeze zoom was quite laggy.
In OBS freezes after a minute or so, go to settings change buffer on off will make it work again but doesn't last long, dont matter if buffer on or not picture freezes after a minute or so. Read about possibile Kernel Issue, never had Problems using the same setup on mint 17.2
