Mirror Scan - Invalid HTTPS Certificate?

Asked by Matthew Evans

I have a mirror configured at https://mirror.amdvps.com/ubuntu. However when it's probed, the probe reports the following:

Connection skipped because the server doesn't have a valid HTTPS certificate.

Why is this?

Thanks!

I'm the amdvps guy. :)

That BGP issue is with one of our trunks, not the one this is running across.

I've check the SSL using a browser. It seems OK. I'm getting a 404 on
https://mirror.amdvps.com/ubuntu/dists/hirsute/main/binary-ppc64el/Packages.gz

The SSL is fine. I'm wondering who can help me figure out why the scanning tool is incorrect.

And you get a 404 in Ubuntu's official archive for that to, which is what I'm rsync'ing from: http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/hirsute/main/binary-ppc64el/Packages.gz

The 404 for binary-ppc64el/Packages.gz can easily be explained.
In the *.archive.ubuntu.com servers there are only packages for amd64 and i386 (and all) architecture. Packages and indexes for ppc64el, arm* etc. are only stored on the ports.ubuntu.com repository server.

What kind of mirror do you run? Is this an official server, registered on https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archivemirrors ?
Are you aware of https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Mirrors and did you follow the guidelines?

Can you help with this problem?
