cant unpack ubuntu data

I used ubuntu to restart a computer. Now I want to access the data on the thumb drive and can not. Most of my date is in corel draw files.

What happens if you try the following:

boot the system
log in
plug in the thumb drive
open the files application

do you see the thumb drive?
can you access the files on it?

Remark: You have to be aware that Corel Draw is a Windows application. I am not sure what you need to use Corel Draw files on Ubuntu.
