unable to update gtk common themes snap has no updates available

Fresh install of Focal 20.04.1. The Software Store is telling me I have an update, but when I try to update, it fails with the subject message:
unable to update gtk common themes snap has no updates available
I found this item, but the resolution at the end had no effect:

This is VERY strange. I refreshed the updates and instead of seeing an update for the GTK Common themes, I saw an update for the Snap Store instead. That installed successfully and another refresh indicated I didn't have any more updates waiting. I don't know what happened here, but it seems I don't have a problem after all...
