Gnome-Controll-Center freezes after adding Google-Account

Asked by Kai Kremer

I installed brand new Version of Ubuntu 20.10 today. When trying to add an online-account for google the gnome control centre freezes.

I do:
> Settings
> Online-Accounts
> Select Google
> Add Mail
> Add Password

After allowing GNOME to access my Google Account the windows freezes. I'd tried it several times, but no chance to connect.

I am nut sure if it is reproduceable, but I did not found anything usefull on the web.

Can someone help?

After another try, I got the account listed as added account, but I am not able to mount it. When trying to select the volumne I get "Unable to access "<email address hidden>".

Use Firefox to log into your Gmail account. Check in your e-mail for a security alert generated by Gmail. Open it -> Check activity->
Click the "It was Me" dialog box. Same thing happens with Thunderbird.

thank you for your answe bit I already granted GNOME access for the Account. Everything looks good there. When I add the account it takes long time (10 Minutes) until the account is added. But as told before, there is no synchronisation. Calender entries are missing and I also do not get any access to the mounted volumne.
