WiFi not working on Surface 3

Asked by joe spodie

I installed the latest versionof Ubuntu and it connectes to WiFi but then after a few minutes it disconnects and then you can't reconnect because it wount build the list to select it from again. If you restart it will then it connects and works for a few minutes then cuts off again. Its almost like a security program finds it and kills it. IF it was the driver you would thinkit just would not work at all. ITs funny but the same thing happens when I install Fedora 32 and then the same for Manjaro. It would be nice if I could get Ubuntu to work as I like it better. Oh and if you think its the router I bought and connected a Minux mini computer to my TV and connected to the router under Ubuntu and it works perfect. Go figure.

Give the router a reboot. It's good to do from time to time and can help.

What is the output of:

sudo lshw -C network; uname -a; lsb_release -a

Thanks
