I can't open a page with java. Java is not working in my Ubuntu 9.04

- Make sure firefox and all associated windows are closed.
- Go to System > Administration > Synaptic Package Manager
- In the Quick Search field, type in sun-java6-plugin
- In the list below the search filed, find the items sun-java6-plugin, and sun-java6-jre, right-click on them, and select "Mark For Installation"
- In the button bar, click the "Apply" button and follow the prompts from there
- Open firefox and see if java pages work...
