hplip atttempts to get pyqt5-dbus for ubuntu 20.04.1 gets error code 100

Asked by Gary Jphnson

I waited for the automatic upgrade from Ubuntu 18.04 to 20.04. When I installed, accepting all defaults, my HP Officejet 3830 AIO did not work. It had worked with all options under 18.04. I downloaded hplip 30.20.9.run from the HP site. When I run it in the terminal, it attempts to install pyqt5-dbus gui-qt5 and pyqt5 gui-qt5. After three tries it reports error code 100. Is there a way I can get my printer/scanner to work?
