20.04.1 update broken
the recent 20.04.1 has kind of broken my system coz before it was so fast until i updated and everything fell apart what should i do to regain my speed?

Yes it runs more slowly and began having frozen screens

What desktop session do you use?

sudo apt install lxde
Then log off and log in to the LXDE session is it OK there?

Yes it's a different desktop environment that doesn't need GPU accelleration. If it's OK there then we will know where the issue lies. You can log out of the LXDE session and back into your usual session after if you like
