Unable to communicate with printer HP_LaserJet_Professional_M1132_MFP.

Asked by Osvaldo Israel Estrada Sosa

I have experienced troubles for almost a week, I used to print and scan without any issue but then I installed some programs and now it's broken. I have install hplip 3.18.7 and its plugin. Any of these installations launched issues. Then I try to print using the command "hp-testpage -g" and launch the error in the description "Unable to communicate with printer HP_LaserJet_Professional_M1132_MFP." what can I do?

Sorry I was meant to say "any of these installations didn't launch issues."

I might say that I can scan but no printing. Also when I login my session appears a window message " HPLIP Status Service No system tray detected on this system. unable to start exiting"
Thank you

Linux Mint is not supported by the Ubuntu community or Canonical in any way. Mint's support community is entirely separate from Ubuntu's.
I suggest you post on the Mint forum here
https://forums.linuxmint.com/

None of the "Ubuntu based" distributions are supported here. There are distribution agnostic forums on the Web but this isn't one of them.

I 've been trying but got no answer. Can you direct me to a forum to solve my issue? I posted on Mint's forum and same.

The Mint forum is where Mint is supported. Mint is not supported here

Could try a more generic forum
https://www.linux.org/forums/

Can you help with this problem?
