how do i make a directory

hello i am trying to set this up so i can host my own website. but the commands are so differant from windows i am lost. I need to know how to make a dir, in what place.. for my website. i got to where a website was. useing the help menu. but it doesnt say how to make a dir. Lets cut to the chase. if some one can set this up. I'll pay you for ypour time i do not know enough about this program to even type my name.
I live in Ohio. But i want someone who really knows how to do this well.

To create a directory, do the following:

1: Open Nautilus (Places > Home Folder)
2: Go there where you will create a new directory
3: Click File
4: Click Create Folder
5: Enter a name and click ok

That's it. Hope it helps.
