Dual-core full Performance

Asked by yanko

Hi!
Is there a way to force Feisty to use 100% of an AMD64 dual core, when it needs it? When I run some heavy computing program, the system would use up nearly 50% of CPU for that process and the rest for background processes. It would typically use 100% of one core and nearly 0% of the other one.

Greets,
yanko

That's normal. 50% of a dual core machine is 100% of one core. It's up to the program you're running to be SMP (multi processor) aware. if it isn't then it's going to do what you see.
