Are you sure that you have to install a specific driver for the PCI card? For several pieces of hardware the needed drivers are provided with the standard Ubuntu kernel packages, and they work out of the box.
How do you know that it is an Ubuntu system if you cannot access the operating system, and which release of Ubuntu is it?

Hi Manfred
Thanks for the reply
Hoping you are doing well during these trying times.
The reason I know it is Ubuntu OS, is because during the loading stage,
just before the game loads, it displays Ubuntu name on the screen.
Now I don't know if it is 32 or 64 bit.
I also thought I could just pop in the card and it would be plug & play,
but it doesn't recognize it. And this parallel port is required to plug a
device the game uses

Well we need to know what chip is being used by the device to know what needs doing. There is no single answer as there is more than one chip that can be used on a parallel pci card

Sorry for not getting back to you earlier, but it has been really crazy few days
posted this in a new qFAQ and was told to close that one and post it on the original question
So, I tried to press CTRL+ALT+F1, but the screen keeps displaying black and eventually goes directly to load game and it won't allow me to type the command
So, I decided to use the Linux tool in the Hirens disk and lunch the terminal feature in it and type the lsb_release -a; uname -a; lsusb command and below is the information it displayed

1. If you add the game system's hard disk as second disk to another computer and mount it, what is the contents of

(mount point)/etc/lsb_release

2. It is required to identify some details (e.g. make and model) of the Parallel Port PCI Card to identify the required driver.

Am I typing the wrong command?
If so, what command should I use to mount it

You can either try mounting by using the file explorer program,
or you need to create a mount point (an empty directory) and specify the mount point in the mount command

Try:

sudo mkdir /media/tmp
sudo mount /dev/sdb1 /media/tmp

You can't just mount a partition unless it's described in /etc/fstab. Where would it mount to? The system has no idea so you get the error. The commands above tell the system to mount to a newly created folder.

You can now run:

sudo cat /media/tmp/etc/issue

What is the output, please?

sudo mkdir /media/tmp
and it ask for password for use1
I type the password for the Ubuntu 18.4 computer where I have the game
computer hooked on as a second HD and it rejects it, which tells me the
password is asking is the password for the second HD.
Unfortunately I do not have it
Is there a work around?

We do not need screenshots.

Click on the file named "issue.net" with the right mouse button and select "open with editor" (or similar), and then tell us what the contents of that file are. Then close the editor and do the same with the file named "lsb-release".

According to a web search, this might need the MCS9900.ko or MCS9901.ko driver module, which I do not find in the standard Ubuntu kernels.
https://www.sybausa.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=142 might provide the required source.

For the next step I want to go back to comment #13
What happens if you try booting the hard disk of the game system directly on the other computer?
And: Can you bring up the grub menu in that configuration (by hitting the left shift key early during booting)?
Or, is it possible to start a virtual terminal (e.g. shift-ctrl-F3)
