can not watch video on hulu

I go to hulu and I try to watch some thing but the page just loads I can't use the yahoo messenger and I do not know what the problem is or even how to fix my problem i have Ubuntu 9.04 and before I upgraded from 8.10 every thing worked fine any info would be useful.
