How to set up Edimax EW-7318USg with WEP key

I want to setup a connection with Edimax EW-7318USg WiFi USB adapter
to AP which requires WEP key. I tried to set it up, but have problems
that i have filled in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/102521
but nobody replies to it.

I even do not know if the problem is that:
1) I did some wrong settings to iwconfig
2) kernel does not supports this adapter at all
3) there is some bug in current driver
4) I use the correct driver...

So can this adapter be set up in Feisty and if yes then how?
