HP Linux Imaging and Printing System (ver. 3.17.10) is far too old.

Download and install the 3.20.05 version from https://developers.hp.com/hp-linux-imaging-and-printing/gethplip

Downloaded and installed Hplip 3.20.05
after restart when i plugged the printer in, popup message says "Driver Plug-in Required"
i clicked next but failed to install Plug-in
when i run 'hp-plugin' command in terminal, it gives the result as follows:

After restart i also get the message HPLIP Status Service "No system tray detected on this system" Unable to start, exiting.
