AMD r9 390 Ubuntu focal 20.04 screen tearing and turns black

I recently installed Ubuntu focal. I understand that the current kernel witch comes with it contains the open source drivers, radeon and amdgpu. Although for some people it work out of the box for me that is not the case.

VGA : ASUS R9 390 OC 8GB
Monitor: Benq xl2411

I tried to find a workaround and i managed to get it at least to stay on even with 144hz refresh rate but I could not use a second monitor.

Then i decided to fresh install ubuntu in order to get help for the drivers included in the kernel.

What can i do to have canonical deal with it in a future update?
And is there a way to deal with it on my own?
