I see different issues:

1. It seems that paul-climbing has restricted the access to one of his PPAs
2. There maybe is a syntax error in the reference to that PPA in your configuration file
3. Support for Ubuntu trusty has ended except for paid extended security support, and for Ubuntu precise also the ESM Service has ended.

For diagnostic purposes please provide the output of the following commands (to be executed in a terminal window):

uname -a
lsb_release -crid
cat -n /etc/apt/sources.list
grep paul-climbing /etc/apt/sources.list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*.list

The package management processes do not show errors any more, but you should still be aware that support for Ubuntu precise has already ended. There are no new versions and error corrections for packages published any more, not even for critical vulnerabilities.

You should upgrade to a supported Ubuntu release (or do a new installation with a supported release) in due course.
