Cannot locate any information on changing my keyring password.

Asked by Steven Kimmerly

I am running the most recent version of umbuntu and it's been a long while, the keyring is new to me, and I am barely functional on command line stuff, however when I installed it I picked a keyring password that I now want to change. There is apparently no way to do this that I've found that doesn't involve me installing something from a website that I am not sure about.

Can anyone help me?

The OS is called "Ubuntu", not "Umbuntu".

Do you know what your current keyring password is?

I am aware of what it's called and how it's spelled, it was 2am and I was just sick of looking for it so please pardon the misspelling.

and yes I have the current password, I just wish to change it to make it more secure.

will this also change my sudo password as well?

Does this help

You will need your current password to unlock the keyring, then you can change it.

Can you help with this problem?
