from 20.04 server fresh install multipath-tools writes to syslog every 5 seconds

Asked by Christophe L.

From a fresh install of 20.04 server, multipath-tools starts logging errors to syslog every 5 seconds.
Nothing else was done, just install and reboot.

It still does the same after available updates are applied.
The vm is very basic, 2GB, 2 CPU, 1 Disk, 1 NIC

I can disable multipath-tools, and the messages stop, but it looks like an issue to me.

it seems similar to

This seems to be the same as Bug #1875594

I suggest you press "Does this bug affect you?" on that bug page if you think it is the same problem, to confirm that bug. The developers will hopefully then start acting.
