Disable notifications

Asked by Brutal_Moose

Hi, I'm not a Linux expert, I'm sure this is the wrong place to ask this question. I tried to find the right place to post this question, but I could not find it.

I want to disable all email notifications for this account. Currently, whenever I post a question, get an answer to a question, or have anything on my account happen, it sends me a junk email. How do I stop this? Thank you!

You ask a question and do not want to see answers - are you kidding?

Details:
1. You are wrong here, if you are not using Ubuntu.
Correct address would have been https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad/+questions

2. The e-mail responses that you receive aren't junk. Maybe your e-mail provider classifies them as such; in that case you have to configure your e-mail system to make sure that they aren't put into junk mail because they are valid information.

3. You receive e-mail responses for all questions that you have subscribed. The person asking a question is subscribed automatically to be noticed of any answer.

4. You can see a list of all question that you have subscribed on https://answers.launchpad.net/~/+subscribedquestions You can go through the questions and unsubscribe them one by one.

1. Thank you for giving me the link. I tried to find that link for 10 minutes but I could not. I don't regret asking for it somewhere, so that I could get it and move on.

2. Manfred you have been a nice and helpful person for many years. You helped me with many issues in 2014 when I was new to Linux. This is an odd comment from you. 100% of the email from Launchpad is unwanted. I have launchpad bookmarked and check it often when I have a question posted. Unexpected that someone from the Linux community would insist that there is only one way to do a task. I did not need a pile of emails to write this reply to you, I have my own way. I don't like notifications on my desktop, on my phone, nor in my email, all of them are 100% junk.

4. I do not want to unsubscribe to my questions, merely the useless and annoying email notifications. Any other normal website has that checkbox option.

I will be posting this question in the appropriate place, now that someone helped me find that. If you want to reply to this here, that could be useful also.

" I do not want to unsubscribe to my questions, merely the useless and annoying email notifications."

This is contradictory.
Subscribing a question is the act of requesting notification e-mails for that question (and similar for bug reports).
If you do not want to receive the e-mails, then you have to unsubscribe.
The questions still stay marked as "asked by you", "answered by you" etc.

And for your question https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad/+question/689568

There are different lists:
Questions asked by you https://answers.launchpad.net/~brutalmoose/+createdquestions
Questions subscribed by you https://answers.launchpad.net/~brutalmoose/+subscribedquestions
etc.
see the top right corner of https://answers.launchpad.net/~brutalmoose/+subscribedquestions
unsubscribing a question removes it from "subscribed questions" and stops the E-Mail notification, but will not remove it from the other lists.
