how to check content of a mint.2 disc

I have been given a Mint 19.2 disc from Linux Format. I believe, or at least hope, that it is bootable and ready to use. How can I identify what software is on this disc, and how to start using it.

If it says "Mint 19.2", then it most probably is an older version of https://www.linuxmint.com/
