Black Screen After Suspension

Asked by Eduardo Catarino

Hi,

I have ubuntu with KDE installed. (Lenovo ideaopad 330)
Version 19.10 and the kernel is 5.5 (but can use 5.3 or 5.0)

Some days ago I updated the system and now when the system goes to suspension and comes back I only got a black screen.

I know that the system is running because when I press CapsLk key the light goes on and off.

Can someone points me to the right direction.

How can I perform some test or configure the system to solve this problem?

Best regards to all
Eduardo Catarino

Then you are using a PPA. I suggest you contact the PPA maintenaner and report the issue.

Go to the PPA page and there will be a contact button there.

Why did you add the PPA anyway?

I did not add the ppa intentionally.
While trying to solve the problem I already tryed to see a lot of information and tryed some proposed solutions. But until now the results are zero....

It's a conscious decision. It's like saying "I didn't intentionally install WinRAR". It's a few commands by you the user.

Here is the PPA page:
https://launchpad.net/~kubuntu-ppa/+archive/ubuntu/backports
