Ottawa not listed in time zone cities?

Asked by Norm MacNeil

Does anyone know why Ottawa (the capital of Canada) is not in the list of cities for time zone selection (during initial installation)? There seems to be a bunch of other cities (Moncton, Thunder Bay, Goose Bay) which are not even provincial capitals (no offence, guys) but are shown. I've just downloaded the latest version (9.0.4) and this still is the case.

Hi,
I asked the guys at #ubuntu-installer ;
It wasn't in the list of cities provided by the upstream list (zone.tab from tzdata2009f.tar.gz from ftp://elsie.nci.nih.gov/pub/
It's possible to add it, but it would make more sense to add upstream.

You should contact the original author.
Please check this file : http://changelogs.ubuntu.com/changelogs/pool/main/t/tzdata/tzdata_2009f-0ubuntu1/tzdata.copyright
There you'll find the author's name and email address.
