Window Shrinks when moving on screen

Asked by Tim Schoell

When I try to move a window on the screen, it resizes itself to just a line that's about an inch long. Most of the time, I can't find it on the screen. How do I prevent the window from going that small when I try to move it?

My system an HP Pavillion. It came with Windows 7, but I recently switched to Ubuntu since I don't want to support Microsoft anymore. It has 12GB of RAM, and a 1 Tbyte HD. I'm running 2 monitors.

If you make a new user and log in, is it the same?

The only other user I have is the root user, and as of right now, it doesn't apear to do it with that user.

OK, that's why I said MAKE A NEW USER. So the fact that you have only one user is irrelevant

Can you help with this problem?
