If you restart does it fix it?
It may be a adobe flash problem or a pulseaudio problem(There are a few problems with pulse in ubuntu)

Hi Shane,
A lot of people have been complaining about quietness since the update, and I myself didn't have sound immediately after the switch to 9.04. Have you opened the volume control settings and made sure that all the sounds (especially the line in, main, etc...) are turned on and all the way up?

Let me know if this doesn't fix the problem for you, I will subscribe to this question.

Hi, sound settings checked: all are at full volume. Tried restarting. No joy. Still no sound in youtube etc. Please note that I do have sound from the system e.g. music files play fine. So maybe it is flash???
