19.04 is end of life soon. I suggest you upgrade to 19.10. It may resolve your issues

What exactly happened when you tried installing the driver?

"when go to terminal sudo command does nothing"

Which command did you try to execute, and what exactly happened?

You have to be aware that you do not get any feedback when entering your password to the "sudo password for ..." prompt (no echo, not even '*' placeholders). Just "blind" type your password and press the enter key.

adrian (g7iqjuk) said : #13

Select the text using your mouse. Press CTRL + C then open the terminal with CTRL + ALT + T
Right click in the terminal and then press ENTER
The command has now ran
Use the same copy method as before to copy the output and paste as an update on your question
Thanks

Manfred Hampl (m-hampl) said : #21

You have to be aware that inside a terminal window you have to use ctrl+shift+c to copy and ctrl+shift+v to paste. (ctrl+c and ctrl+v do not work in that mode.)

Manfred Hampl (m-hampl) said : #22

Or mark the text that you want to copy, click the right mouse button and select "copy" from the pop-up menu box.
