Why python-gconf package was removed from Ubuntu 19.10 ?

Asked by Joachim R.

Trying to install g15daemon from a ppa (vivnet-g510s), but it fails in a python script on the line that import gconf.

I repported to the author that the dependency was missing, and headed to install python-gconf manually as a workaround.

But no more python-gconf in Ubuntu ! Why ??? gconf itself is still here ! Should I fill a bug report ?
