Bluetooth bug Kubuntu 19.10

Asked by Abuti Joy

I was told to report a bug here by Ubuntu moderator:

Hi,

I'm not good at linux, but somehow I managed to make wifi work after following some website advice. Could you help me with bluetooth adapter.
So far I have done the following:

sudo apt-get install dkms git build-essential
git clone -b extended https://github.com/lwfinger/rtlwifi_new.git
sudo dkms add ./rtlwifi_new
sudo dkms install rtlwifi-new/0.6
sudo cp -r rtlwifi_new/firmware/rtlwifi/ /lib/firmware/rtlwifi/
echo "options rtl8723de ant_sel=2" | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/rtl8723de.conf

after the last line, it shows: echo "options rtl8723de ant_sel=2"

What should I do next to make bluetooth adapters found?

First of all: This question is related to Ubuntu, and not to the Launchpad hosting services. So I reassigned this question to the correct project.

I am not sure whether I can help getting your Bluetooth device working, but at least I can help solving some other problems that you have.

1. You still have the installation DVD listed as a repository source. this causes error messages when trying to install software if the DVD is not inserted in the drive.
2. The PPA hanipouspilot/bluetooth does not contain a software version for Ubuntu eoan.

Recommendation:
start the program software-properties-gtk
Look for the entry with the installation DVD and remove the tick mark besides it, see https://i.stack.imgur.com/zy7r9.png
Look for the reference(s) to hanipouspilot and remove it, see https://i.stack.imgur.com/0Rt3F.png

And for your Bluetooth problem:
What is the output of the commands

dmesg | grep -i -e blue -e bt
sudo lshw -C network

Sorry, I do not know what has to be done for the Bluetooth device to correctly work.
I can only refer to similar discussions on the web, e.g. https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/Realtek-8723DE-wifi-module-amp-Bluetooth-Linux-driver/td-p/6477307
