I cannot boot ubuntu after changes in the xorg.conf

You know or heard about the ATI cards problem in Ubuntu 9.04.
I flowed someone's solution by editing xorg.conf, but now I cannot login to my ubuntu.
After the first logo of Ubuntu$ my laptop hang and does not continue.
Is there a way to login in the safe mode or something like that??
