Ubuntu 19.10 - Disable Authentication Password Pop Ups

Asked by Peter Pugno

Hi,

I'm having trouble disabling authentication popups in 19.10, for example, when installing a new software.

I have edited the sudoers file which seemed suggested in other forums, I added my user to the sudo groups as well as added my user to the nopasswd list in visudo.

I still get the pop ups. I am the only person using this PC and it is very safe, how can I disable them. I still want to log in with my password, but after that I never want to have to enter a password.

Cheers!

The system may be ‘very safe’ to you but you cannot trust any scripts on websites you visit. The amount you need to authenticate after setup is minimal. It’s not there to inconvenience you. It’s to protect your system

Can you help with this problem?
