On pulse audio the volume control settings -> playback {bottom of window] Show: All Streams / Applications / Virtual Steams
Did you try each of the three different settings?

On Output Device Port: The three choices Speakers / Line Out / Headphones
[bottom of window] Show: All output devices / hardware output devices/ virtual output devices.

Configuration Built-in Audio Profile settings -> off / Digital Stereo HDMI / Digital Surround 5.1 / Digital surround 7.1
check this --> Built-in Audio Profile settings ->Analog Stereo Duplex / Analog Stereo Output / OFF

You can make this window wider it will show all 5 categories.

Another option search Raspberry Pi Forums https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/

I hope this helps.
