installing medley plugin in snap libre office

Asked by Musashi

Greetings, I downloaded mendeley desktop to integrate it with libre office (snap). Now I am unable to install plugin from libre. I have also checked from "Tools" tab in mendeley and there is no option there.

In addition to that I also followed this link " https://askubuntu.com/questions/1042881/cannot-install-mendeley-libreoffice-snap-citation-plugin?rq=1" can't find libre plugin .

Pardon me for asking such naive question but Your assistance will mean a lot to me. Thank you!

Forget about it andrew-woodhead666. Just assist me with how to integrate mendeley plugin with Libre. I face this problem when installing plugin in.

Couldn't Install LibreOffice Plugin The LibreOffice unopkg utility gave the following output: ERROR: (com.sun.star.deployment.DeploymentException) { { Message = "Error binding package: vnd.sun.star.expand:$UNO_USER_PACKAGES_CACHE/uno_packages/lu1926985ayul.tmp_/Mendeley-1.19.4.oxt", Context = (com.sun.star.uno.XInterface) @5632f28ca930 (ImplementationName = "com.sun.star.comp.deployment.bundle.PackageRegistryBackend") }, Cause = (any) { (com.sun.star.ucb.InteractiveAugmentedIOException) { { { { Message = "an error occurred during file opening", Context = (com.sun.star.uno.XInterface) @5632f28ccd28 (ImplementationName = "com.sun.star.comp.ucb.FileContent") }, Classification = (com.sun.star.task.InteractionClassification) ERROR }, Code = (com.sun.star.ucb.IOErrorCode) NOT_EXISTING }, Arguments = ([]any) { { (com.sun.star.beans.PropertyValue) { Name = "Uri", Handle = (long) -1, Value = (any) { "file:///home/maddox/.config/libreoffice/4/user/uno_packages/cache/uno_packages/lu1926985ayul.tmp_/Mendeley-1.19.4.oxt" }, State = (com.sun.star.beans.PropertyState) DIRECT_VALUE } }, { (com.sun.star.beans.PropertyValue) { Name = "ResourceName", Handle = (long) -1, Value = (any) { "/home/maddox/.config/libreoffice/4/user/uno_packages/cache/uno_packages/lu1926985ayul.tmp_/Mendeley-1.19.4.oxt" }, State = (com.sun.star.beans.PropertyState) DIRECT_VALUE } } } } } } ERROR: Exception occurred: Error binding package: vnd.sun.star.expand:$UNO_USER_PACKAGES_CACHE/uno_packages/lu1926985ayul.tmp_/Mendeley-1.19.4.oxt ERROR: unopkg failed.

Even libre shows plugin is installed as "insert citation and merge citations of mendeley are shown". Mendeley says It is not installed. Furthermore I cannot use those tabs in libre introduced by mendeley in Libre

Then you are using a PPA. Have you tried it with the package version from the official Ubuntu repositories?

"Couldn't Install LibreOffice Plugin The LibreOffice unopkg utility gave the following output: ERROR: Error binding package: vnd.sun.star.expand:$UNO_USER_PACKAGES_CACHE/uno_packages/lu1926985ayul.tmp_/Mendeley-1.19.4.oxt Cause: an error occurred during file opening unopkg failed."

https://askubuntu.com/questions/831232/mendeley-desktop-wont-install-on-ubuntu-16-04

If you run:

sudo apt-get -f install

Do the deps get installed. There are some packages named in that guide. May help

I got what issue was. It appears I might have changed config path in libreoffice in Template section, I went back to configurations and found that was the case and things are now back to normal. I'd like to apologize and thank you at the same time. I can't compensate for the mistake I made which resulted in taking your precious time, and still want to thank you for being such a nice person.
