Hmm, can't attach the file.

Tried a bunch of different players.

Some, nothing, others sound only.

The file name only works on your system. Have you tried VLC? Did you install the ubuntu-restricted-extras package? How did you get the file on your system? Is it from a digital camera?

Tried VLC, SMplayer, Kaffine, mpv Media Player, Videos, Handbrake.

Where is the package?

From a digital camera.

Ok, run:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras package

Use TAB and ENTER to accept the license. This will install all sorts of codecs and multimedia goodies for you

After this is installed, open the file. with a media player Does it work OK?
