Could not get owner of name 'org.xfce.SessionManager': no such name

Asked by Ludwig Boyadjian

Hello

Need some help fixing this problem. I accidentally removed my logout button on the taskbar and I would like to reinstall it. However, I am getting this error message mentioned above Could not get owner of name 'org.xfce.SessionManager': no such name when I install a panel item via an application launcher. I t would be kind to have someone help resolve this problem. I have the latest Lubuntu LTS version along with LXDE desktop environement installed.

Thanking you in advance

 Heloo Mr. WoodHead

This was quite difficult to solve. Althought I used youre suggestion, it only resetted the logout button in the taskbar in Lubuntu Only. For LXDE desktop environment I had to go to usr, share, apllication to find out which Log out button will function for LXDE Once I found out I made a shortcut link to my desktop from there I dragged it to the launchbar and opened the panel setting and moved it to the taskbar. This method althought very tedious and primitive solved the problem. It is not a good idea to full around with LINUX based OS.

Thank You for the help

Ludwig
