Can Ubuntu fix "Version 71.0+build2-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 cannot execute. 100% crash"
I tried to enter a bug, but that web page is not working for me.
Firefox 71 is broken on kubuntu 16.04
I contacted Mozilla with a Firefox 71 bug, and discovered that Ubuntu recompiles Firefox for distribution.
A complete description of the issue and recommended solution is found at:

Probably Bug #1850529 caused by using a pre-release of Firefox 71, not from the official Ubuntu repositories but from elsewhere.

I re-installed a mozilla firefox via download (version 70) and have it as default right now, I linked it into place (per the mozilla bug with link for "how to install" I noted above. Version 71 appeared as part of my updates which are controlled by the apt search. that search uses. The log for firefox is:

Yes it appears in your updates as you have added a PPA for Firefox.
If you make a new profile now Firefox version 70 is installed, does it work OK?

The output of "apt-cache policy firefox" (sudo not required for that command) confirms:
Version table:
*** 71.0+build2-
500 http://
The version that you have intalled is coming from a PPA.
Please look at its description https:/
"Unless you are testing updates, you should NOT install packages from this PPA."
This PPA is a staging area of the Mozilla Security Team, and they are aware that the version that currently is there does not work ( Bug #1850529 )
I recommend that you remove that PPA from your list of repository sources.
sudo rm /etc/apt/
and probably also
sudo rm /etc/apt/

@Manfreed:
I made ppa updates suggested. I will now try to recover my histories and logins from the unusable "EXPERIMENTAL" Forefox. As noted elsewhere, I am unaware of how these ppa modifications tool place.
Can you help with this problem?
