Do you mean the file systems in the host system into the guest OS?

Be sure to install the Virtualbox guest additions in Ubuntu as a good starting point

If I remember I have installed guest additions, so I could successfully mount USB drive (as I mentioned), but I forgot how I did it :(

Meantime, after several attempts (logoff/login) finally I see my USB drive, but question about windows C: ans D: drives is still valid.

Spuriously rebooting your system won't make file systems magically mount....

Did you install the guest additions?

Install the guest additions if you haven't yet done that - see https://www.tecmint.com/install-virtualbox-guest-additions-in-ubuntu/

And then I would define the c drive as shared folder and mount the shared folder - see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmjwM2P2cjs

I can't complete instruction given in link: https://www.tecmint.com/install-virtualbox-guest-additions-in-ubuntu/

3. Next, from the Virtual Machine menu bar, go to Devices => click on Insert Guest Additions CD image as shown in the screenshot. This helps to mount the Guest Additions ISO file inside your virtual machine.

because I have no menu bar (???)

OK, problem resolved (right Ctrl+Home) displays menu
I could complete task - windows folder is shared and mounted in VB
