Hi rajsh,

Why don't you order from http://shipit.ubuntu.com? You will get Ubuntu 9.04 CD programs.

Please edit your question using the link at the top right hand corner of the screen. This is a very public forum and it's not a good idea to post your address or any other such personal information in here, eg no passwords nor account numbers either please! lol

ShipIt is excellent but can take a long time. The link is currently broken because of the overwhelming quantity of orders they have had and I've heard it can take 12 weeks in India. If you can download it instead from
http://www.ubuntu.com/
or perhaps the IT Department at school or college might be able to download it. They might have done so already and be able to give you a copy. If not then someone there might be interested in trying out this new linux, especially with someone as experienced as you already are to help them. Other people worth asking to see if they already have it or might be interested in trying it out are internet cafe owners, libraries tech departments. It's probably worth asking a few people and if you can even give them a blank Cd then they really shouldn't charge at all or at least not very much.

Good luck and regards from
Tom :)

Thanks Rajsh :)

It is always best to ask how much they might charge or haggle or if you haven't asked how much and they suddenly name a price that's not low enough to be easy then just walk away. People really shouldn't charge for Ubuntu at all as they most probably get it free themselves.

Hopefully the ShipIt page will be open for orders in a couple of days and also hopefully we can fix the problem in the other post so that you don't need the 9.04 as urgently as i thought. Sorry about that

Good luck and regards from
Tom :)

Can you help with this problem?
