gnome-software Desktop related entries is syslog

I am looking at log bloat. /var/log/syslog had 4221726 bytes in about 8 hours.

gnome is responsible for some of this. Does the log entry below look like desktop files that have no corresponding application?
Or, maybe desktop files with no entry in ~/Desktop?
I found some .desktop files left over from old packages that were removed and purged.
