Erased Virtual Box Drver from the UEFI area in 19.04 Ubuntu ALSO . . WHY ?

Asked by Lynne Stevens

Spent 4 hours deleting HD and Installing 19.04 and adding in Virtual Box and guest additions plus Extension pack . . Then turned the laptop off and restarted it several times and checked Virtual Box out . . And it worked right . . So next UPDATE ERASED the driver from the UEFI area and I had to switch to Un- secure boot / Legacy Boot TO RUN VIRTUAL BOX . . Why delete it and not put it back
OH YEAH boys and girls down load the Guest Additions ISO file and burn to a CD so you CAN INSTALL them . . As per usual the web site made by whom ever is wrong ! . .So what is going on there Never have had the problems of having to go to UN SECURE boot before versions 18 and above . . And why does it DELETE the Vbox.drv from the UEFI area when doing a UPDATE . .

I run Ubuntu 19.04 as Main O/S and use virtual box for bleeping windows as they only make sketchup for windows Us users of it have to run it inside of windows inside of Virtual box . . I have a 3 D printer it makes pars and making them really easy to do so with Sketchup make

Which version of VirtualBox are you running?
What exactly happened with Vbox.drv?
These drivers are installed on hard disk, so they cannot be "deleted from the UEFI area".

It is or was in the window of the Software Updater and I did not copy and paste it any place . . It said deleting some files and installing all the New stuff . . Mean you do not watch the items being installed into your computer ? or being deleted . .

Sorry, but the few bits of information that you provided are not sufficient for any reasonable support action.
