crc error after update linux kernal
Asked by
newborn
hi I recently loaded ubuntu 8.10 on my 2 nd hdd & my boot loader was placed in the wrong place, following which it would not boot into Ubuntu. Following the advice from this forum I set that right & could acess ubuntu, but now after running an update at boot up I get two options for linux 2.6.27.7 & 2.6.27.11. If I choose the older one i can log in, but if I opt for the newer one I get a crc error & a msg unable to mount boot fs on unknown wn - block (0,0)
What should I do
