Jaunty

Asked by John Kelly

Hi,
I was wondering is the following a problem... After going to Update Manager it goes through the process and invariably comes up with a box which says Could no download all repository indexes The repository may no longer be available or could not be contacted because of network problems. If available an older version of the failed index will be used. Otherwise the repository will be ignored. Check your network connection and ensure that the repository address in the preferences is correct.
failed to fetch http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/intrepid/Release Unable to find expected entry intrepid/source/Sources in Meta- index file (Malformed Release file?)

There are similar failed fetches updates with the above one etc
can anyone help me to sort this out ? If I download jaunty on the 23rd will this be a problem?
John

Just wait a few hours/days and try again. It will be running ok then.
And consider to not install Alpha/Beta/RC-Software, if you cannot handle situations like this though. ;-)

Greetings
