Desktop icon texts blurred after resume

Asked by Christian Lehmann

Kubuntu 18.04, KDE Plasma Version 5.12.7
After suspending the system, I resume. The desktop reappears; but the text lines of the desktop icons are blurred (I would post a screenshot if this were possible here). Doing 'Refresh desktop' has no effect. The text only reappears if I initiate a 'Rename' process on each icon.
How do I avoid this problem?

Incidentally, after issuing the last two commands (#3 and #5), there appeared a notice:
     Kdeinit5 closed unexpectedly.
This note is accompanied by the information that one cannot report this error because there is nobody to receive the report.
On the other hand, one does not perceive any immediate consequences of this 'unexpected close'. In particular, according to Task Manager, kdeinit5 keeps running.

Since nobody is taking up on the above, I am not sure whether this thread is closed now. Should I file a bug report?
