Changes made in xinput (touchpad) lost after reboot

Asked by Jibzz

Hello

I'm using Ubuntu Studio 18.04 LTS distrib on a ASUS N550JV laptop. My touchscreen doesn't recognize the "tap to click" option by default. The mouse settings on my XFCE environnement (dunno which one it is, but it's the "stock" one !), in the settings panel, doesn't offer the option.
So I went on and activated, successfully, the feature with the xinput cmd in Terminal. Problem is this procedure seems to get reset everytime I reboot my laptop.
Is there a way to activate the "touch to click" option right at startup (idealy on logon screen, but at least when I get to my desktop) ?

I'm a rather new Ubuntu user, but learning fast and starting to understand the mechanics around the Terminal.

Many thanks in advance,

JiBé
