jerking menu bar

Asked by Paul Winchcombe

The menu bar has started "bouncing/jerking" .
I have changed nothing and have no idea why this would have started happening.
Any help would be appreciated.
Please try to keep any instructions as plain as possible as I am not a coder only a user.
Thanks

Very few Ubuntu users are coders..... Why mention you aren't a coder.....

What is the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a

Thanks

Hi.
I mention the fact that I'm not a coder to try and ensure that any replies
that I receive are in a plain a language as possible. I have requested
support on other sites and had replies that I could not understand at all.
That is the only reason.
Thanks

Trusty is end of life in a very short time, this month at some point for normal users like me and you
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases

I suggest you upgrade to Xenial (which you can do online) and enjoy support until April 2021

Can you help with this problem?
